THE SHERLOCKS // CHASING SHADOWS

The Sherlocks, one of the fast rising Indie artists conquering the UK and beyond, consisting of two sets of brothers, kick off 2018 with release of fan favourite CHASING SHADOWS. Taken from the mighty anthemic and biggest selling debut album from a band last year, LIVE FOR THE MOMENT, which is a monumental achievement in itself, it's a ready made classic. After personally picking up ESCAPADE back in 2015 it was obvious to me that this quartet had the monumental indie flavour well and truly in the palm of their hands. They were made for success after previously being the first unsigned band to sell out local Sheffield venue, The Leadmill, since Arctic Monkeys.

This release comes in the wake of their biggest headline tour to date. Live For The Moment is a thirteen track record full of stadium filling gems and after supporting the likes of Kings Of Leon, Richard Ashcroft and diving in as main support on upcoming European tour with Liam Gallagher, it's another exciting year ahead for the boys.

Chasing Shadows in particular contains a mammoth chorus sprinkled with addictively sharp melodies that will stick with you for weeks on end. These Northern songsters have their sound well and truly locked down. There are a lot of notable tracks on the debut, which charted at #6 in the UK charts, with some freshly honest songwriting bursting through the musical seems on Turn The Clock and Motions. Alongside some ready born sing-a-long belters with voluminous riffs on Will You Be There?, Nobody Knows and Was It Really Worth It?. The anticipation for their next record is right up there and they are a guitar fueled reminder that indie never left.
