So here we are again another month another Unique introducing act!
Now this month's is another young singer/songwriter and this is Alex Stacey. Hailing from just outside the Welsh capital of Cardiff in Caerphilly. At just 17 he's already released his debut EP 'Ready For Love' which peaked at 23 in the iTunes singer/songwriter charts, as well as this he performed a fantastic launch of his EP at the Workman's hall in the heart of his home town with many coming down to support him and check out his music. He also gained 7 weeks of airplay on Bethan Elfyn's BBC Radio Wales show along with many other stations around Cardiff.
Whilst also being announced for this year's Swn Festival in April, he has a wealth of gigs coming up and has had some great feedback on his intimately written four track EP. Looks like an exciting year for the 17year old! The EP is beautifully written with mature lyrics and a resonating voice that will put you in mind of a young Ben Howard.
