Al Moses, honing down a religious connotation into their name after watching The Jesus and Mary Chain, are a quartet from South Wales interweaving simering angst and ambition into their debut single 'I Want More'.
Encapsulating the lyrics with sneering vocals which resonate with the scuzzy riffs and stomping beat, co-frontmen Daf Thomas and Jack Shephard get the attitude just right representing how they feel about their generation. There is something really special and raw about how both the vocals crash together to create a strong motion. After already receiving great radio airplays including John Kennedy on Radio X, this is such a strong debut from a band who are just starting to make waves on the musical map and its catching on quick.
'I Want More' was produced by Steffan Pringle (ESTRONS, Himalayas) at Giant Wafer Studios and mastered by Charlie Francis (Pixies, REM). The boys allude an incredible and organic live set which has seen them sell out previous headline shows and begin snowballing a dedicated fanbase. Jack said - 'It’s a head-on, hands-up anthem for people like us, the disillusioned youth. We just want more than what's laid out for us. And this song aims to capture that spirit and determination of how we feel right now.'
