The night kicked off with South Wales quartet Tracy Island. Bringing indie infused melodies and flavoursome riffs. They kicked the night off with high spirits drawing in the crowd to the stage. They confidently took the stage engaging with the audience and promoting some new music which settled with excitement onto new ears. The boys warmed up the room with their summary musicalites and lighthearted sound.
Next up we were joined with the energetic duo Sit Down who gave us some electrifying punk sensibilities. The crowd came even closer to check out some live music as Alt-rockers Katie and Greg exuded confidence throughout and relayed a set you could really get your teeth into. The perfect lead up onto the headline set of the night from Average Sex.
Following the release of their second EP 'Melodie', Average Sex were out in full force on Friday. Bringing in a crowd of fans who sported their merch and were avidly singinging along to their favourite tracks including 'Ice Cream' and 'We're Done'. Lead vocalist, Laetitia, commanded the stage with passion and energy, bounding as she exclaimed the lyrics infused with fun and laid-back angst. Average Sex are a very exciting band fueled with scuzzy riffs and full of personality, the musicality within the band is brilliant and made up of carefully crafted skill which is relayed perfectly live.
