Festival season is almost upon us and I for one am in my element. Festival season is always a happy season, it brings everyone together to see some great music, eat an array of amazing food, gets ya wellies on whether its rain or shine and takes you away from the everyday hassles to just have a great time!
Originating from Nottingham and developing somewhat of a 'Nelsh' accent being currently based in Cardiff, I have missed the delights that Nottingham has to offer.
A festival on the way which is a lot of fun and brings lots of happy memories is music festival SPLENDOUR. Based in the rolling hills in the shadow of Wollaton Hall, hills I managed to haul myself up whilst competing in cross country races in school. It's a festival I grew up attending with my friends and made some hilarious and music loving memories and Splendour ALWAYS offers an awesome lineup, I've caught Madness, Blondie, Scissor Sisters, Jake Bugg all in the fields of Wollaton Park.

Wollaton Hall also appeared in Batman : The Dark Knight Rises ( I know cool eh, love a bitta Wayne Mannor)
Headliners and multi-brit award winners Kaiser Chiefs take the main stage to close the day and you should expect some big belters spanning across six studio albums. You can sing ya heart out to I Predict a Riot, Oh My God and UK number one single Ruby. You've gotta love their debut 'Employment' which was released over 10 years ago in 2005, it's gonna be a gooden.
Also on the mainstage we're joined with comeback kings, Busted! The throwbacks continue and hopefully we're met some old classics from 'A Present For Everyone' and debut, self titled album 'Busted'. What better way to spend you're Saturday then belting out 'Air Hostess' 'Who's David' and 'What I Go To School For'.
The eclectic mix continues with singer songwriter Gabrielle Aplin also on the mainstage, some absolute classics from the legendary Billy Ocean, some punk goodness from the Buzzcoks, Ex Spandau Ballet member Tony Hadley gracing the main stage, British Sea Power who have played on ships at sea, deep inside Cornish slate mines and atop the Great Wall of China, and now, Wollaton Park and ITV's The Voice finalists Into The Ark headlining the Acoustic Rooms Stage.
