Blackwood houses some soulful feels in the form of harmonising duo Into The Ark. This holesome doublet met whilst on the live circuit around Wales as teenagers and it more than clicked. They hold a captivating live set which is highly recommended you attend, you won't be disappointed.
After playing over 130 gigs over the past year, including playing alongside Paolo Nutini, Eliza and The Bear, Boardmasters Festival and more, we are met with brand new single 'MY GHOST'
Dane and Taylor have that rawity to their sound which sits perfectly alongside one another. The track begins, acoustically driven, with Taylor's soulful vocals with a slightly retro sensation and those gritty undertones. Transitioning flowfully to exclaim the lines 'my ghost' which kick starts Dane's harmonising vocals as the chorus hits and the pace grows to that catchy back beat. The track is slightly different to what has been before but it encapsulates the right balance of folk with a slight twang of symphonic rock and roll. It's got a great edge and atmosphere which has been well encapsulated from both techniques vocally. It's catchy, it's gritty, it's addictive. Transitioning nicely to slow the pace as the track comes to an end and finishes on Taylor with 'looking for me'.
