Some interesting news...

So apparently from 6th July, the number of times a song is streamed on streaming sites such as Spotify and Deezer will count towards the song getting into the Top 40 chart. 

Now what I'm personally unsure about is the song only has to be played for 30seconds to count, this could change the chart and what we listen to in a massive way. Streaming is a very powerful tool for music and this is going to have a massive impact on the UK top 40 chart. 

I'm a journalist for Podium.Me and I went out in Nottingham today and asked a couple of people what they thought of this....









Hmm a few mixed reviews, but I do think this system will have its perks for the artists, we'll see how well it goes down when its in full action from the 6th onwards....
