Fletcher Bay follows after recent EP 'Changing' (title track changing in particular is written and produced incredibly) however Fletcher Bay escorts us to a completely different place. It was produced by Dani Castelar (Paolo Nutini, REM, Snow Patrol) and wonderfully produced too, with Harry's distinctive delicate vocals flowing nicely through the track. There are some lovely gentle piano riffs that lay delicately within the track escorting us to an almost dreamlike sensation. The melodic guitar picking really emphasises the superbly written emotive storytelling. Fletcher Bay is an honest song about Harry's father who tragically passed away last year and he returned to Fletcher Bay to scatter his ashes. The song really takes you on his journey and Harry has the undoubtable talent to emit so much empathy that you can feel his thought process.
Today Harry dropped his latest video for the track and it is wonderful. Filmed both beautifully and artistically, with some extreme closeups easing us into the video. It's visually lovely and really emphasises the song into all its entirety. Fading effortlessly into shots of sea and the bay, the video begins to draw to an end with a poignant and thought provoking shot of Harry looking at a photo and playing his guitar as if he'd just penned the song there and then. The wonderful artwork on EP 'Changing' is his farther who was a Professional Potter.
